“So Long, And Thanks For All The Fish”…iconic words immortalized by the greatest author of all time (IMHO), Douglas Adams. (Those not acquainted with the Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy trilogy of five books must read them – to understand ‘the joke’ – and for genuinely witty writings.) Behind these words, of course, are dolphins. Dolphins in h2g2 lore are the second most intelligent animals on the planet, after mice. They try to warn humankind about the impending destruction of Earth but are ignored. “So Long, And Thanks For All The Fish” is the goodbye message of the Campaign to Save Humans. To know more about these cuddly marine mammals, you should definitely check out SeaWorld’s blog on dolphin facts. The blog is a storehouse of facts on dolphins and also features some really cute videos of dolphins playing with bubble rings.
